Ocelot • Hand Drawn • Uni-Sex Tri-Blend T-Shirt

This triblend tee features my hand-drawn ocelot, built up with fine liner pens from lines, dots, and little random marks until the coat comes together. That felt like the right way to draw this cat. No two ocelots wear the same coat, their spots and stripes are as individual as a fingerprint.

Below the artwork, the ocelot's Latin name and habitat coordinates point to Jaú National Park in Amazonas, Brazil. Jaú protects the entire basin of the Jaú River and is one of the largest stretches of unbroken rainforest left anywhere. The coordinates sit deep in the terra firme uplands, the dry, closed-canopy forest interior where ocelots do most of their hunting, well away from the rivers and the seasonal floods.
