About the Artwork

A close study of a tiger's eye in pastel pencil, part of my Eyes of the Wild series. Getting the amber tones layered right took longer than I would like to admit.

Tigers have forward-facing eyes like ours, which is part of why that gaze feels so direct, and they are built for hunting at dawn and dusk without giving up daytime sharpness.
