Great Horned Owl Eye Pastel Pencil Drawing • Wildlife Eye Art Print • 8x10
Description
Great horned owls have eyes so large they can't move them in their sockets, which is why they turn their whole head instead. Relative to the size of the bird those eyes are enormous, close to the size of our own in a head a fraction as big. Getting that yellow iris to glow without going flat took more layers of pastel pencil than I expected, but that stare was the whole reason I drew it. This one is from my Eyes of the Wild series.
