Description

An octopus, hand drawn in pastel pencil, playing a xylophone, because I liked the image of it and octopuses have plenty of coordination to pull it off. They have three hearts and blue blood, and each arm carries its own cluster of neurons, so in a way every arm is thinking a little for itself.

I drew this piece for the 2nd annual Akron Symphony Orchestra's music and art show. It was awarded the runner-up people's choice award.
